In general when speaking of OC Pepper Spray we are refereeing to a defense spray that uses Oleoresin Capsicum as it active (hot) ingredient.

They all use oleoresin capsicum, the extract of pepper, as there active ingredient.

In the long run CN is not as effective as OC Pepper Spray
There are other defense sprays that use CN Tear Gas instead of capsicum. They have been proven to be not as effective unless they are combined with capsicum.
