Dart and paintball blowguns
are versatile silent weapons, great for hunting small game, shooting other
paintball players, or for target practice. They come in several barrel sizes
including .38, .40, .50 and .62 caliber. The .40 caliber size is the most
popular and is great for beginners. Don’t be fooled by the inexpensive price
of blowguns; they are made with superior aircraft-grade aluminum and are
guaranteed for life!
These are not toys or novelty
items; blowguns are deadly weapons, capable of launching darts and hard ammo
at a velocity of up to 350 feet per second. With practice, you can accurately
shoot a paintball or dart at a target up to 250 feet away. For safety and
easier handling, each model comes with a mouthpiece designed to prevent
inhaling a dart, as well as foam handgrips to prevent slipping — ideal for
those instances when you’re sweating during an intense paintball battle.
The published velocity and
ranges for .40 caliber blowguns are shown in the chart below. The velocity and
range you achieve will depend on your skill level.
